This page explains what stays local, what may leave the device when a requested feature requires it, and what should not be collected in the first place.

Ordinary typing does not need to send the text to an outside service. When you explicitly request a cloud review, you should know that it happened and how much surrounding context the request needed.
This page tells you what Bayan can send outside the device, what stays local, and which actions always wait for you to decide.
One sentence is selected here. Bayan shows the nearby context the request needs and leaves the rest of the draft where it is.
This earlier paragraph stays in the document and is not needed for this request.
The previous sentence gives the review a bounded amount of context.
This is the sentence we want to review before sending.
The next sentence may help Bayan understand what the writer means.
The rest of the draft stays here too.
The plugin never sends, publishes or submits writing on the writer's behalf.
It contains no automatic action that deletes writer content or source documents.
Only a limited amount of nearby context can accompany a writing request.
Chrome and Word connect to Bayan. Provider credentials remain on the server. When you explicitly request a cloud review, Bayan may use an approved external model provider with bounded context.
Usage analytics can work from counts, language, acceptance and cost without storing submitted prose.
A suggestion replaces text only when the writer accepts it.
See what can leave your device, when it happens, and what Bayan never does on its own.
